Elementary, My Captain
Literature upon literature, a titan against a titan. Also, an interesting read
(the climax from Captain America Comics #10, 1942 where they stole from whatever literature they felt like).

Space defined
Gave I mentioned recently how much I love Kirby's work? Amazing, even without entirely being pencils

Carter by Chan
Ernie Chan was one of my favorite Conan the barbarian artists, adding superb details and figures to his lengthy run. Here is his rendition of John Carter of Mars for Marvel. Makes one wonder how that proposed Pixar film will turn out.

A bridge and a finger
I just liked Kirby's use of perspective and size here; thought I would share it with you.

Black Brother (by O'Shaughnessy and Colan)
Black Brother(which by the way never continued despite what the corner title says) was published in Savage Tales #1, and was one of the many experiments Marvel tried in the 1970'. Some of them, like Man-Thing, were phenomenally successful. This, not so much. It certainty has some interesting ideas, despite the somewhat pretentious foreword, but it never quite gels. Nonetheless, Gene Colan is one of my favorite artists, and he is on top of his game here.

The Iron Warrior (by Ditko and Lee)
It's always good to recall the work of two pillars of the comic book format, especially if it is something rarely seen or not the first thing that comes to mind when one one thinks of their name. Originally shown in STRANGE TALES# 108(1963).

Twinkle Twinkle (by Carlin and LaRocque)
And now for a comic often considered to be a camp classic, or at least impossibly bad yet good. Sorry about size of scans, they are second hand from a friend and these were the biggest I got. Click to enlarge.
Ah, what the hell, it is a excuse to cut loose.
Initially I was reluctant to even post this, I'd rather spot great comics by the heavyweights(Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, Steve Gerber) but then again this is just too weird not post. It does seem to highlight a time when Marvel was ok with parodying itself, ala the much more successful Not Brand Ecch!.
