An Easy Morning?
Things never go quite as planned, sometimes
(such as my recent lack of posts. Sorry, been a bit sick.)

Comic Opera (by Jacobs and Wood)
Frank Jacob's gags are amusing but Wally Wood's art really throws it into the stratosphere. All those characters and details, he must have spent forever on them. Quite amazing.

Vonderful vexing from Crumb
Ah, Crumb, you magnificent bastard. So vindictive of anything ever approaching good taste or tact. And we love you for it.

Black Brother (by O'Shaughnessy and Colan)
Sergius O’Shaugnessy is really Denny O'Neil, as he was a big Mailer fan. So much so that he tried to live up to the whole hard living and drinking Irishman, which only resulted in losing chunks of his life.
Black Brother(which by the way never continued despite what the corner title says) was published in Savage Tales #1, and was one of the many experiments Marvel tried in the 1970'. Some of them, like Man-Thing, were phenomenally successful. This, not so much. It certainty has some interesting ideas, despite the somewhat pretentious foreword, but it never quite gels. Nonetheless, Gene Colan is one of my favorite artists, and he is on top of his game here.

Space, Horror, & Mathematics
[Enlarge Here]
A trio of pictures from one of my favorite pictures of all time, the utterly brilliant Alien³ (pronounced Alien Cubed, not three, no matter what anyone tells you). In my book, the best of the series.
