Mad Monster Party poster (by Frank Frazetta)

Frank Frazetta and Rankin-Bass, an odd but wonderful combination. For the theatrical release only (and quite an enjoyable romp it is).

Doomsman Revolution Must Die (Doom Tales pt. I)

So begins the most epic(drawn out?) post done yet. I will present Dr. Doom's adventures in Astonishing Tales 1-8. However, as there are four distinct arcs, not to mention various levels of quality, I will present them in four different posts. Remember I posted backward, that way you could follow the story if you scroll down (the way most viewers do). But, you can also see each individual arc, if for some reason you only want to read one(which I humbly submit should be the last one, part IV).

Due to the continuity for these posts, I will make a DR. Doom label for these four only. I hope you enjoy(be sure to note int he comments which is your favorite).

The first arc (Astonishing Tales issue 1-3) is a great way to start off the series featuring a rare drawing of Doom by notable non Marvelite Wally Wood.

Invaders Enslaved (Doom Tales pt. II)

This humorous, Nazi filled arc (Astonishing Tales issue 4-5) is enjoyable, but probably he least of the four stories.
